Lent 13- Kindred

13th March 2017- Lent 13: Kindred.

It is important to find those who are kindred spirits to your own. To build up community around each other, sharing in life's joys and sorrows. Kindred Spirits who join with you to enjoy fellowship and pray are some of the most important relationships you can ever nurture. 

Find your kindred spirits. Be intentional about growing community. Learn from each other and grow with each other. 

Christ gathered a community of followers around himself. They grew together, learned together and developed deep and world changing relationships through that time. A community living life together, called to pray for each other. 

The community of the Early church in Acts is another representation of building our life around each other. Kindred Spirits share their most prised possessions with each other, supporting the widows who had nothing and seeking out the well being of all within their family.

What is our gain is also the gain of our kindred. What we have been granted as a blessing we also must turn to bless others. Kindred is family and family is love. x
